Private tack room

From bare walls to a tack room.

For Meyerhof we built a private tack room in oak: a holder wall, a bench with storage, a run of cabinets and a Corian wash station. Cabinets, drawers and holders in solid wood, the wall panelling veneered. Planned by Nina Nagel after measuring on site, made in our Düsseldorf workshop, installed in summer 2026.

Tack room, fully fitted

Planned individually, installed in the Netherlands

For NM Sport Horses we built the complete fit-out of a tack room: saddle racks, bridle rails, an open shelving wall and a bench with drawers running its full length. Nina Nagel planned the room individually. It was made in our own master workshop in Düsseldorf and installed on site in the Netherlands.

A former kitchen became a complete tack room. The space is narrow, and the brief was maximum storage on a minimal footprint.

Large drawers along the lower section keep saddle pads and rugs stored away from dust. Above them sit modular wall panels that can be fitted freely: saddle racks, bridle hooks or helmet holders, as needed. The opposite wall is fully height-adjustable, so every small item from daily stable life finds its place. The design continues the visual language of the main stable: oak and black, for one coherent concept.

We are here at NM Sport Horses, and we were able to fit out the entire tack room. The space is very tight, so we were asked how best to create storage in here. This used to be a kitchen, and today it holds the complete tack room. Along the bottom we have large drawers that hold saddle pads and rugs really well. Directly above them sit our modular wall panels. They can be arranged freely, with saddle racks, bridle hooks or helmet holders, as flexibly as possible. On the other side everything is height-adjustable, so every small item from daily stable life finds its place. It mattered to us to speak the same visual language: oak and black dominate the main stable, and we carry that design through, so the stable reads as one coherent concept.

The photos show the finished room and one moment from the installation. The floor plan is narrow, so every wall surface earns its place: racks and rails on one side, open compartments on the other.

Anna Den

Private tack room

Individually planned. Crafted to master standards.

For Anna Den we created a tack room that brings function and design together. The aim: a room with clear structure, short distances and ample space for daily use, matched to the stable routine and to the architecture of the house.

The starting point

The brief was clear: more order, a fixed place for every piece of equipment, and a tack room that sits naturally in the overall picture of the house. At the same time it had to serve the daily stable routine.

Nina's design

Based on the measurements, Nina developed several planning concepts. The result is a solution with a central counter, an island for saddle pads and individually planned areas for saddles, bridles and the rest of the equipment. The visualisations in the pictures trace the path from idea to finished plan.

The build

Built in our own joinery workshop in Düsseldorf, then delivered and installed on site. The photos show the tack room in daily use, exactly as planned.

Tack locker

Built for daily use

This Cavacella tack locker stands in Annica Hansen's stable. The pictures show the installation and the finished fit-out, authentic and straight from daily use.

Lisa Kestel2024

Tack locker in daily use

For Lisa Kestel we built a bespoke Cavacella locker system in grey. With an integrated saddle rack and bridle hook, a drawer, and individually arranged compartments and storage, every piece of equipment has a fixed place. Thought through down to the detail, clearly laid out and always within reach.

The photos show the locker after installation and while stocking it together. A project that shows how an individual plan becomes a lasting solution for daily stable life.
